Title: Laboratory Technician
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Twelve hours shifts, Four days working four days off Night, Evening
Salary: Industry standards
Anticipated Start Date: as of middle November
Location: Calgary
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable
Experience: Will train
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Area of Specialization: Analytical Chemistry and Labor
Type of Industry Experience: Oil sand analysis- Sample preparation for the following analysis: soluble ions, dry sieve, wet sieve, clay content in soil, particle size analysis by laser diffraction.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (ph, EC meter, Coulter machine). Prepare solution, reagents, and sample formulations. Compile records and interpret analytical results.
