AGAT Laboratories is currently in search of dynamic individuals to work in our new environmental laboratory in Grande Prairie.
The successful candidate(s) must possess:
- B.Sc/diploma in chemistry, biochemistry or chemical engineering
- At least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
- Computer literacy: Word, Excel Knowledge of software used in chromatography would be an asset
- Be able to work well under pressure; prepared to work the hours required to “get the job done”
- Work well independently and within a team
- Knowledge of Environmental Guidelines is an asset
Tasks of the technician
- Perform activities related to preparation and analysis of soil and water samples
- Verify data to ensure quality and conformity
- Participate in problem-solving related to instruments and work
- Participate in the validation of analytical methods and the revision of method SOP’s
