Due to continued growth, AGAT’s Calgary Tribology Lab is currently in search of following position:
Laboratory Technician - Lube oil Analyst
JOB DESCRIPTION
· Working in a professional Laboratory environment.
· Preparation and analysis of used oil lubricants, fuels, and coolants on various instrumentation while following specific methods and procedures.
· Ensuring that samples are tested as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) within designated standard turn around times.
· Maintaining laboratory equipment by ensuring calibration and maintenance is performed as per documented intervals.
· Familiarity with and adhere to all QC procedures. Meet quality and turnaround time specifications as required by the client.
- Occasional overtime and/or weekend work may be required.
- Evening shifts available.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Effective oral and written communication
- Excellent inter-personal skills and leadership ability.
- High school Diploma.
- Prior Laboratory experience an asset but not required.
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multi task.
- Comfortable working with and trouble shooting on basic lab equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to take initiative in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Positive and open attitude, dedicated work ethic.
