AGAT Laboratories Calgary Oil and Gas Division is currently in search of a motivated, hard working individual to fill the position of Hydrocarbon Research Chemist.
The successful candidate would possess the following attributes.
A forward thinking, post-secondary Analytical/Petroleum Chemistry graduate with the ability and drive to head a state-of-the-art Oil and Gas Testing facility.

Previous experience in hydrocarbon testing laboratory dealing with organic and physical properties analysis of reservoir fluids and natural gas streams would be a great asset.

Troubleshooting of lab instrumentation including Gas Chromatographs would be a definite asset.

Not afraid to bring new ideas to the table to increase laboratory efficiency and to research new ideas in the ever-changing development of analytical techniques in the Oil and Gas industry.

The ability to meet tight deadlines and work efficiently under pressure is a must.

A good understanding of reservoir fluid and gas testing methodologies (i.e. Standard Methods, ASTM, GPA, UOP, etc.) would be a great asset.

The character to mould their team of technicians to achieve the future goals of AGAT, meaning the candidate would have the responsibility of hiring and managing laboratory staff.
