The successful candidate(s) must possess:
- B.Sc/diploma in chemistry, biochemistry or equivalent and Certificate of Training in Asbestos Identification;
- At least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
- Knowledge of Asbestos identification via microscopy using NIOSH Method 7400
- Experience in the use of Polarized Light Microscope and Stereomicroscope
- Computer literacy: Word and Excel Knowledge
- Be able to work well under pressure; prepared to work the hours required to "get the job done"
- Work well independently and within a team
Tasks of the technician :
- Perform activities related to preparation and analysis of samples for asbestos analysis;
- Verify data to ensure quality and conformity;
- Participate in problem-solving related to instruments and work ;
- Participate in the validation of analytical methods and the revision of method SOP’s ;
