PROCESS CHEMISTRY

The production and processing of hydrocarbons involves a number of physical and chemical systems. AGAT’s petroleum service is completed with the ability to analyze the chemicals involved in processing for active character and contamination. If needed, AGAT can perform specific tests at the actual physical conditions experienced in the process itself. The applications of this service includes the obtaining of profiles of glycols, amines, sulfinols, assessments of water compatibility at varied physical conditions, assessment of effect of corrosion inhibitors, and other important process situations.

PROCESS CHEMISTRY EXPERIENCE:

AGAT has performed numerous determinations for process chemistry that have lead to the solutions of complex problems. These analyses can be used both in a diagnostic and preventative scenarios. Through the use of computer simulation, AGAT is able to assess, model, and predict various scenarios that pertain to process chemistry. The concept behind WebFluid is a Well Data Management System which will ensure that potential problems are kept to a minimum. ATMOSPHERIC OIL ANALYSIS

This service area specializes in the characterization of crude oils at atmospheric pressure using routine parameters such as total sulfur and distillation (D-86) profiles. Clients of this area use the services to obtain accurate information concerning the class and quality of the oil itself. Unwanted portions of the crude oil such as water and solids are quantified and API gravity and viscosities are determined. These parameters allow for calculation of raw material value as well as determination of ideal processing and handling procedures.

PRESSURIZED GAS AND CONDENSATE ANALYSIS

Samples must be taken properly, introduced to instrumentation with integrity and profiled accurately. Systems for sample handling and analysis are complimented by comparisons of actual data to theoretical data and statistical analysis of historical data for specific sample points.
